All families love photos of their new additions! I strive to make everyone feel comfortable enough to allow me to document the birthing process, but some still would prefer that I'm not in the room during that vulnerable time and that is perfectly okay. As much as I would love for it to be, birth photography is not for everyone. For this reason, I also offer what is called a Fresh48 session. This session consists of photos of the new baby within the first 48 hours of birth before she changes too much! She still has that fresh baby look and I'm often able to get some amazing, memorable shots of baby meeting all of the extended family as well as a few awesome portraits of the immediate family and the new little one!

Again you probably have tons of questions, and I have tried to answer some of the most common ones, but you're always more than welcome to shoot me an email or give me a call with any other concerns or questions you might have!

Where will these photos take place? I will come to wherever you are! If you are giving birth at a hospital, I will typically try to come there before you leave so that you still get that part of the story and that "fresh" feel! If you are planning a home birth, I will gladly come to your home! Wherever you give birth is where your baby's story begins, and I want to make sure your photos include that!

How will you know when to arrive for our session? Just like the birth stories, I ask that you contact me when you are heading to the hospital. And once baby is born, let me know. I will give you some time to spend with your little one and enjoy the moment, but after that, just give me a call so that we can make plans on when I should come for your session. You'll be able to plan more this way, so if you would like to put on some makeup or change your clothes, this can more flexible than a birth!

How much does a Fresh48 session cost? These sessions are $350. I request a $150 retainer fee at the time of booking and the remainder is due at 36 weeks. I am more than willing to work out a payment plan that best fits your family's budget! And remember, you can always add a Fresh48 session onto your Birth Story package at a discounted rate of $200! (Make sure to ask about adding a maternity session on at a discounted rate!)

How long is this session and what is included in the package? I will stay for up to 3 hours to ensure that you get all of the photos to complete your new baby story! You will receive 30+ edited photos delivered via a fully downloadable online gallery!
